Private Helicopter Pilot License – PPL(H)

A Private Helicopter Pilot License – PPL(H) entitles the holder to operate a helicopter for private operations only. This restricts the individual to only operations for which the pilot receives no payment or reward. The holder is free to operate a helicopter for anything from recreation, personal transport, to going about work on a rural property and to carry non fee paying passengers.

To meet the requirements for the issue of a Private Helicopter Pilot PPL(H) a minimum number of 50 hours flight training is required before you take a flight test, a Class 2 Medical Certificate and successful completion of 1 theory exam covering all 7 theory subjects listed below.
